Shoes on the Danube is a gathering of shoes to remember when the banks of the Danube were littered with shoes removed by the Jews before being shot in the back head by Nazi's and swallowed by the river

Good one Ivor; reminded me of David playing for King Saul.

I liked that...but Blues is close to the bottom of the list for me...I'd rather have Country before Blues....I would have thought, that as you are a motorbike cowboy you would be a Country and Western man.

I like most music except the really modern rap and hip-hop stuff and jazz.

Ivor, check this guy out, Joe Bonamassa , he's a bluesy type who plays a mean guitar. Have it turned up full bore for the best effect but probably have Yvonne out shopping. .

It was a photo of a building in York that I took and I submitted that too..
I didn't put any camel pictures in because it was hidden on their website so only people I told could view it. I don't know whether its good to put it out there but I know from feedback that some love it which is satisfying.
What isn't so good is that people who know me say the camel is me......ME??..... ggrrrr

If this film comes your way its a terrific watch, there's laughter and tears and laughter.. they seem to capture the suddenness of life in WW2.. we saw it on the big screen yesterday

I'll soon to be completing my LAST night shift for good on 13th May.
I started my new job on 3rd April and since then I have been doing 7 days each week 5 at the new place and 2 nights at the old place.
Now after a month its taking its toll "frazzled" is probably a good word especially after Friday when I opened the clinic at 06.20 and closed at 19.20 then slept for only one hour before attending my night shift at the hotel from 22.45 through until 07.15 on Saturday morning - 26 hours including travel and yes i did sleep the whole day and early evening to rise and get back here on my night shift at 22.45.
We are made to have a total day off after the 6th day simply because its difficult to balance things in our heads without a break from life.

Good night shirt Ivor....I am amazed that you could stay awake all the way through the movie!! Hope you can make-it for the next two weeks, you must be on total burnout!! By the way...the movie looks amazing and up up the street of Dave and I ...I have made a note of it and will be looking out for it . Thanks for the heads-up.
We have just finished watching season one and two of Home Fires...wonderful acting...great story lines...sad thing is , I read that ITV pulled and cancelled the show!!! What a great shame. I guess low ratings because of no graphic sex, no foul language , and no gross violence...which seems to be what the general public feed upon these days.
Very sad.

Ivor, how are you going to last out until the 13th may- I don't know how you have coped with it all. I only ever did a night shift, then and day shift from 11:00-7:00 and it did me in- mind you I never really adapted to night shifts. Hope the next few weeks are kind to you xx Are you doing both because you had to work out your notice? yes, God definately knew what he was talking about when he instigated a day of rest xx Take care Rita x

You're a better man than me Ivor Din; but it does sound that the benefits will pay off in the long run .
It's funny I was only thinking yesterday when it was, that stores were allowed to be open in our town on Sundays and the furore that it caused; now Sunday's just another day.
