You know Rita, the secret is knowing when to withdraw and ignore what all the hype is about. twinc is sometimes fun, he does get people to discuss, you just have to talk with those who are talking and overlook his silly comments that go nowhere. I know, he gets up my back at times but then so does my 5 year old grand daughter . I think they are of a similar age in fact.
Looks as if Mike has now given up the internet as it is part of the beast, watch this space. Jamesnow that is a silly comment - how can a 5 year be of a similar age as an 85 year old - twinc

It could be the 85 year old has as Jesus said become as a little child!
On the other hand it could be that the 85 year old is being foolish and pig headed in what they say and do, just like a child!

Hi twinc, I am well aware since my family used to visit Itteringham Mill for afternoon tea in the late 60's. Too late now to "ask for Derek Neville" since he died in the 70's. Here is an extract from his much respected literary works:-
"Men see my form and know my name, they hear my voice or touch my hand, but who am I or whence I came, they neither know nor understand. And though I live the world to bless, and though I bless the world to heal, only the loving heart can guess, only the loving heart can feel. But the cool wind that stirs the boughs, or the warm rain that feeds the stream—’Tis such a constant friend that knows the everlasting from the dream. And the dear eyes of creatures know, or the warm hearts that sing and sing; the deeps of understanding go with tamed, dumb, fur, or feathered wing. Dogs are my friends, the faithful band who worship Christ as good in man, and do not try to understand much else about the lovely plan. For they, without the gift of speech, can to their wiser brethren tell the truth of life; and they can preach all that we know of heaven and hell. But when the wealth of hidden years has left its touch of gold for aye, all men shall know the truth; and tears shall evermore be wiped away. Then as I know, shall I be known, and they shall see me face to face, with prejudice and doubting flown, and love and light in every place. Then shall the kingdom truly come, and all, forgiving, be forgiven, and man be in his rightful home, and know himself a child of heaven. Peace be to you, I leave my peace to guide your path and bless your day. My love for you shall never cease, my peace shall never pass away."

Somebody said to me this week, "where there's no judgement, there's no issues" which I found very ponderable, so is it , if there are issues is it because I'm judging? either the person or the situation. What as a believer is my position concerning judging, is it simply " speaking the truth in love" Is it even possible to judge something and not judge the person involved? Funny how you answer your own question because as Jesus did it all the time so can I. I to often make the judgement call based on seeing not hearing, Oh for the ear, that hears what the Spirit is saying in "every" situation. T,B,C.

I might have mentioned that over the half term Daniel (my son) booked his girls (4and 5) in for intensive swimming lessons. This was at our local pool and not the main leisure centre where they usually swim. The instructor went to great lengths to explain that if it had been up to her she would never of had the girls in the groups they were in since they were plain not that good. She went on to say that the people at the main leisure centre might have moved them up to create more space in the lower groups.
She immediately spotted the areas that were bad and started to get them swimming correctly, it was amazing the difference she was able to instigate in them in just 45minutes each day for a week.
Bare with me I am heading to judgement.
Day four she had a bad cough, day five she was not in attendance a man took her place. I could have slapped him since he was useless. I say this because he set them to swim saying "I want good straight legs" they swam how they liked and he congratulated them saying "that was good now lets also have those arms coming right over". Off they went again splashing around making a complete mess of it all, not once did he point out an error or seek to hold them to account over not doing as he said. He offered no explanation no instruction in the right way, no correction, no rebuke. He let them think by his silence that they were doing as he asked and that they were in fact swimming well. He was as I say worse than useless since he damaged the fine work done by the first instructor.
I need that voice behind me saying ............

Congrats Mike, you are higher up Gods totem pole than me in knowing what the Lord is saying and doing at this time, the His Spirit and the my spirit has not proved infallible for me, Peter had the working knowledge of seeing and hearing Jesus but still did not stop him on (his judgement call) to say I go a fishing, nor the others to say we go to. It would seem to me in my early walk with the Lord there seem to be no need to make a judgement call because you knew what He wanted, maybe babes treatment. In my geriatric spiritual walk now, I don't hear so good. Which brings me back to " will He find faith in my earth" Man does not live by bread ( His Spirit, my spirit) alone but by every word that "proceedeth" for my christianity to be meaning full to those around, in the body and out of the body, old manna for me does not work, to impart something of worth I need the proceeding word of the Lord, if the old worked, we would have vivial at every meeting. Maybe!!! I'm odd, I want to be part of the body of Christ that does heal the sick, raise the dead, not just fill a pew or not, once a week, Hopefully the church, rather than discuss " the mark of the beast" will become the answer to the " mark of the beast" Hear endeth this lesson.

Blessings and greetings or greetings and blessings Rita. I'm nearly lulled into thinking spring is around the corner, the geese are turning up and what birds we have are adding their chorus, so, while odd dog was taking me out for our afternoon exercise, I was wondering the how Brighton was looking? your time for Cyprus must be getting closer, which city are you headed for on the island? in my nearly three years there I visited most of them. If I'd been a christian then I would have checked up on Barney and Mark to see if anything remained of their ministry. Just really wanted to let you know you're loved and appreciated and not forgotten by Jesus or us. When you're in Cyprus and you see; Stamata or Dur it means stop, in Greek and Turkish the only words the army thought important enough for us to learn. Say Hi to Dan for us.

James, I reread the swimming saga, and with bated breath moved on from the "bare with me bit, I'm heading to the judgement" reread the next swimming or non swimming bit (moved from bated breath to full breathing) actually found the full breathing better, at the end came to the conclusion, that you really would have liked to administered full judgement on 2nd instructor or was there something I missed? While enjoying the sun on the mountains this morning, and was humming probably a little discordantly to the musical ear, " the King is coming, the King is coming, I can hear the trumpet sounding and His face I now can see--------------He's coming in me" I found myself musing on the story of Mephibosheth, as you know he was lame in both feet and when David was enforcing judgement on the house of Saul, "the King" spares this lame man, for his "Fathers" sake, and what struck me was " the King" can really do what HE likes, I'll throw this in and a lot will throw it out, but in John 12 vs 31 and 32 it says (red letter stuff) " NOW is the Judgement of this world; NOW shall the prince of this world be cast out. 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all "men"(added to give readability) but the context of these two verses is "Judgement" so if one inserted, "judgement" for added word men, it could read " And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw ALL Judgement unto me" See, the King can do what He likes, King David took in a man, lame in both feet, a pretty sad state to be in, unable to walk, BUT he ate bread at the Kings table continually. We may find it difficult to walk daily on the kings highway, but we can eat continually from His table and as we do, He will strengthen our feet, David never judged Mephibosheth, only showed him kindness because THE KING can do all things. Lets not forget THE KING IS coming.

Just read John again and looked it up in Strongs translation. It looks that the writer had it as 'I if I be lifted up will draw all'. Thinking of the cross it not only means Judgement but all as well. As if the cross is like a magnifying glass that takes all the rays coming out from Gods plan and will, and shines them into the New Testament and down the ages to us the last in line of the sons of God. Everything was met in the cross, all the love of God, all the judgement of God upon a world of sin . All the judgement of God upon the prince of the power of the air, all the mercy of God upon a race that was as stupid as sheep and apt to wander away from the path. The cross was the focal point of the prophets of old as well as the angels of God for the destruction of satan and the judgement of mankind. Jesus took it all!!

Good word James, that will preach to those who have an ear and not just the written word, hopefully Vessy and daughter are on the upward way, There's a guy called Graham Fletcher from Australia preaching this weekend, so working on the principle of more miles, more power, I shall try to make one meeting. My buddy was at a missionary fest in Edmonton and the closing speaker was Loren Cunningham, he's 80 odd years young, and he held the meeting spellbound ( probably,"spellbound" not a good word) but for 90 mins he told of the dealings of God, past, present and for the future, told the geriatrics, get girded up, there's a harvest coming. Maybe we will get in on the best wine even yet. I had to take Mrs Ho back to the lawyer as the last one didn't use a fountain pen and they returned all her papers, so this morning I was fully fortified with brekky and coffee and they, the documents, are now off to Malaysia again. She very kindly supplied me with another bottle of her wonder pills. It's squash 'nite tonite, and I'm feeling like I've been in the tomb for four days, hopefully I shall come forth but I'd really like to be first. Have a God weekend Saints.

Just got in from going out with odd dog, had a good head of steam up coming down the hill, when right in front of us was a large coyote, usually they will take off on seeing you but this one was a little confrontational and had to resort to making noises with size 9 runners, hardly the weapon of choice, when he had moved off down the bank, odd dog was taken with a spirit of bravery, but maintained a fierce silence. It's been a bad week for the rabbits the score being, coyotes 6, rabbits nil, plus 2 grouse were on the menu, went with a bro to the more miles, more power meeting, the ministry were from New Zealand and pastor a church in Vancouver, cutting down the power radically, only 1100 kms to 'couver, Unlike Paul who came not in words but in the demonstration of power, the speaker had a demonstration of words and no power, hopefully they were saving it for today. So Bro and I went to the "watering hole" this morning, good anointing on the worship, some group fellowship and a word on "as christians do we really "need" one another"? Well I thought that's a good forum question. After the meeting the Bro and I discussed the difference between the two meetings, the Holy Spirit one we had expectations, the other one no expectations and were blessed, it's a strange old christian walk sometimes. I wonder what the Lord has for us this week, remember, He appears to those who look for Him.

First, just to get things into context, Coyote, big as our fox or as big as your Penny? Then how likely are they to attack and do they run in packs or just as it seems from the sightings by themselves?
Did the 'need for each other' word have a conclusion? I can see how some might say that all we need is Jesus, but then we might ask if that is true why did Jesus send them out two by two? Also Solomon had a word on two's good but make it three and you're in clover, not to mention Moses being the power behind the sword of Joshua. That makes two, but then he need two more Aaron and Hur to hold up his arms, total number four plus the whole of the Israel army down in the valley.
My conclusion, yes we need each other for the day to day which will bring us into a one to one face to face at the end of our walk, before The Judge of All the Earth. It is a funny, odd thing to think that I shall be judged by my works, cos that means the Lord in a way does not do the judging he just takes what I say I believe and puts it up against what I actually did in life. Did I have eyes to see those in need and give these little ones some help and ministry. So at the end of the matter I will judge me, Jesus doing the application, I think I might be in trouble, hope not!

What we have to look out for now James is the Coywolf. They used to just call it that..but now it has ben declared a species because of their numbers. They started in the states spread up to Eastern Canada, then migrated across here to the west. By the name...obviously a cross between both breeds. The wolf packs were being depleted so the started cross breeding to save them selves. These obviously can be quite big..larger heads and long legs. And, not fearful. They are becoming more used to man...where as wolves used to stay clear of man if they could. So they are adapting. They have been seen and filmed in the large inner city Parks of New York!!!

I see it that God will be looking for HIS works, fruit, nature. I no longer believe it is the works of preaching, praying, giving to the poor, and doing "good things"...not those kinds of works..but love, joy peace and the fruit thereof the inner works of the Holy Ghost. Do we reflect His heart? Which obviously could well include the other, but I don't believe He will be looking for the other. Many, Many, many have done wonderful great "works" for mankind..and don't even acknowledge God!!
