The only place I fell happy and know what I am doing,is here. I'll see how I do. We all prefer your 'cheeky chappie' avatar but change it back if you wish.

I've come to the conclusion God does this on purpose, I just get used something, and then it changes but thanks Mike and James, for stepping up into the breach!!!!!!! I feel a bit like how the Scribes must have felt when Jesus came with the new, plus Helen had just copied a brilliant (post) thing of mine, when the Apocalypse happened!!!! Felt like saying a rude word, I said felt-----------. So here we are again, happy as can be, all good friends and" can't remember the rest" jolly good company. There ,did remember. I have really been into this fellow Godfrey Birtill, unfortunate first name but some of his songs have blown my socks off, that one " I Am not disappointed in you" there's one, if your day has not gone to well, or Norwich have lost again, And "you're still God" fits all occasions, odd sort of beat but really good words in his songs. Had an odd thought on, when one prays for the sick, wether to say if you die, we will try again if you want. Part of Jesus ministry was raising the dead. On a totally different note, I read this " Following the tragic death of the Human Cannonball at a Kent show, the spokesperson for the company, said, " We will struggle to get another person of the same calibre" false or true? Hopefully only the people I know will read my stuff, don't want to offend anyone or two, Helen says it's never bothered me before, really wish I had some earth shattering revelation to share but there seems to be a dearth in my land today.
Was impressed that the catholic bishop stood up against the joint use of washrooms for those trying to find their gender at school, I think M and F is quite clear on the doors. It seems the rest of christianity is doing " the do not disturb thing" I wonder if they will do the same for all washrooms, maybe there will be no partitions between the seats, boggles the mind. Time for a cuppa and a bit more of old Godfrey and maybe the Gaithers. Have a spiritually prosperous Sunday.

It appears we've gone from no forums to many forums, as I have only ever been, a poster on one forum person ( little grey cells can only handle one) When the apocalypse happened I found myself on this site as it was the lone ranger at the time, until the next apocalypse happens here I shall remain, and as already been quoted take your pick, not get picked off, as I have never been double jointed I admire those who can contribute to the many, Nuff said, odd dog, who lives up to her name has now taken to back sledding down the hills as they're polished by the kids and the variety of sleds they use, I remember in 1947, my Dad making a sled, now I can see where I got my non handyman skills, (there, it is genetic Helen). Fortunately vehicles had been invented, I think by the time it was finished most of the snow was gone that was no deterent to my Dad, to the hill we went, am I ever glad no cell phone camera's then, you needed to be a weightlifter to drag it as it was to awkward to carry, the closest hill was at the top of our street, and at the top was the most motley collection of "sleds" and sledders, mine fitted right in, Dad had designed it more for speed than comfort of which neither was accomplished, I think he thought an upgrade using corrugated tin might help, fortunately it never really snowed again until 1961 in Bexhill. Boy there are some dandy sleds now, when I was a Pastor principle of a christian school in St Albert, there was a hill of immense proportions in three down hill layers (not for the faint hearted) and the big inner tubes were the rage, praying the fervent pray that if any died I could raise them up before their parents came to pick them up,they all survived but at the end, the chant went up " pastor and teachers, P and Ts, now the two teachers were lady's, and one quite abundant the other well endowed and it behoved me to cushion the two as this inner tube was a three person deal, with GREAT glee they launched us down "Dantes" hill, not only were we airborne a lot of the time it also spun around, to you reading it won't seem much, just a few words on paper. But to us locked into a death grip, and with two or was it three calling on the name of the Lord or just screaming, the saga only ends if one ends up in the parking lot and hits the piled up snow, now to miss would take you thru a fourway stop, down the river bank and a mention in Hebrews 11. Due to a number of quite serious accidents, "Dantes" was closed and re-landscaped.

Well here we are a lovely Friday evening, but one notices that there is a distinct lack of birds, last year I helped feed many sparrows, this year same spot no little sparrows to be seen, ( maybe they all fell somewhere) plus no magpies, it must be a sign!!!!! got the oil changed in my vehicle, I usually go the dealer for but went to quick lube instead, I think it took longer to fill all paper work out than the oil change, I was given a clip board with a sheet and three choices of changes, sort of like getting coffee, small, medium, or the works, signed up for the small, clip board paper removed and replaced by another sheet, this to release them from everything and not to get out of the vehicle, signed that, clip board goes again, then returns with another sheet saying what's n/a and what has been done and a plastic thing showing the colour of my tranny oil and what colour it should be, I thought mine looked better than their red stuff, that said, by the end my small seemed to got a lot larger and I hadn't got out of the vehicle, But it was quick, off to squash tonite and a rehydration stop on the way home, have a brilliant weekend, there's a verse in Psalms I think which " they looked on Him and their faces were brilliant"

Triple 6, I thought you found that only on a dart board and triple 7 tops that, " let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus" thats 777. Phil 2 vs 1-10 have to be some of the richest verses in scripture, Paul starts off in vs 1 with four "ifs" and ties it in, in vs 2 with "fulfill ye my joy, that YE be likeminded, having the same love, of one accord , of one mind." so you have 4 "ifs" and 2 "ye" and 6 more verses to put it all together. Got to go, odd dog and I need a coffee and donut.

Saints, you need to listen to " I then shall live" by Ernie Haase, and SSQ + Gaither band. Wow, the words are better than any Sunday sermon. While you're listening look up " Oh love that will not let me go" acapella, with David Phelps/ Bill Gaither/ Marshall Hall and Guy Penrod, Love always builds bridges, fear will build walls. If you have any hair these will blow it up. If you don't listen, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits .

Wow- that is such a blessing - what a lovely song. I see what you mean about it being better than a sermon, have not heard too many of them lately- but that really touch my heart xx
Thank you Dave for mentioning it, and thank you Helen for the link xx Must try and listen to the other one you mentioned.
Have a good day - I am off to clean for 8hours, oh and shop for a birthday present, sort out Dans meds and take bread yo my dads- better feed the cat before I go- I will leave the washing up to Dan ! LOL
You mentioned dougnuts earlier, now I fancy one - Brighton Station use to have this shop and it sold the most amazing fresh cream doughnuts, I use to buy me and my two youngest one to eat on the train from Brighton to Haywards Heath when we lived there many many years ago - how I could just sit down and have one now, sadly I will have to settle for a bowl of porridge before I head out and see if my Bus is sticking to the app times on my phone !! LOL
