As I said elsewhere it was not a peaceful night. Daniel came in at around 12 to say Mum was not doing to well and was going to set off with her baby and all to return to the hospital. He also informed me that he had given Josephine some yuk and she was now back to bed but he had told her he and Mum were about to depart. Took news in my stride and rolled over, woken after another chunck of time by a little Josephine sliding into bed next to me. We lay and whispered for a while, she, unlike Abigail, lies very still, and then I invited her to return to her bed. Sat on the floor while she went off. Now very awake so stared at the blackness as I lay in bed and prayed for the elderly, that's most of us on this site and the young around me, must have fallen asleep. 6.30 sure comes around fast.

James...I hope this is not shades of things to come, for you. But, broken nights are what comes with babies and children...But in God's wisdom he gives us kids while we are young. Not at 70!! ( unless you are some of the OT characters)

Well here it is Monday, Monday, Had a bit of fast day yesterday, fasted from going to church, fasted from going on the site ( did pop something on as Helen was feeling lonely) fasted from anything with sugar, fasted from winning squash . Decided to take a one year fast from haircuts, except ears and nose, who nose why "they" grow quickly and on the head slowly? As I was out this morning in the old snow, I noticed just how many dogs had walked the same area, big prints, middle size ones and little ones, and then there was one, not big not small and it looked the same as all the other ones, except, all this ones prints, were in a straight line in the snow. They of course belong to Mr Coyote, in the midst of all these prints, his stood out because he walks in a straight line concerning his feet, one behind the other not like the other dogs, and the thought struck me, as I walk, do I stand out in the midst of every one else, not because of bright clothes or weird hair, but because I walk straight. For some reason God made Mr Coyote different and sometimes I seem to forget that the Lord has made us different, and it's usually when the cares of this world come in like a flood, or Helen's struggling, instead of being the standard that's raised up I'm more like a wet noodle. Of course all you spiritual giants out there can't relate. I was watching Andre Rieu on a U tube thing, and the thousands who were at the show, his ability thru music to have people transported from their cares for the time being, if only he was an evangelist. Sometimes I feel I'm all preached out and I just want to listen good worship or old Andre. My buddy in Edmonton went to visit a couple of designers that we worked for, one has been battling the big C for a year, so he took his guitar along, they both knew he was a christian but had only ever seen him carrying tools, after lunch he sang " He's the God on the mountain, He's the God in the valley " and shared with Dianne that "HE" knew the road she was walking and the tears she was shedding. My other fast is not to read all the stuff, friends send me concerning, the world. "Thus saith the Lord" and "God said" occur more than 2500 times in the scriptures, When was the last time you heard either of them? I was looking in a book the other day and found a word someone who had prayed for Helen had got, 2005. There was a time when a prayer and a word were the norm, I really need to get my feet straight. Well my coffee's cold, time for a warm up, get well soon Pat.

Excellent...I really like the "type of the dog and Mr Coyote,...That reminded me of the story once told of the Rook who wanted to be a Dove. He learned to walk like them, eat like them, rolled in ashes to look like them...but just like Peter, when he opened his mouth to coo like a Dove..."his speech betrayeth him." We may look like the world, even act like the world..but our heart is of a different species.

I can't see any two posts that have "come up twice". I do know that no one can delete another person's post (only their own).

Mike are you saying that you CANT see two back to back posts of mine?..above yours? ( not looking identical, because I deleted one.) 1) I wrote my post ,which was a quote of Dave's..THEN I saw that above it was the very same post quote. 2) SO I deleted the whole quote of Dave's...BECAUSE I COULD NOT FIND A WAY OF DELETING THE WHOLE POST!! And then I wrote, what I wrote in small bold..asking you what had happened.
And..If you check " Worldly Stuff" on the secular board...you will see two identical posts to me, from you! Please notice that BOTH my posts (above here) are numbered 228. And over in the "Worldly Stuff" thread, BOTH of your posts are numbered 209. = Identical posts. ( except I deleted the contents of one of mine..because I could not find how to delete the post itself. )
Okay..silly me..NOW I can se where...to the right of the cog, a drop down..and delete is the fourth option down. So that puzzle solved...now, why does a post, when quoted "sometimes" make two copies?? As in "Worldly Stuff." Scratching of head..

Do many of us feel we stand out- I certainly don't. You know I use to get pictures and words ect, haven't in a very long time - maybe I have come to blend in too much with the world around me- its quite interesting to think about and I love the analogy of the footprints.
I picked up the testimany of brother yen yesterday ( writer of 'The heavenly man ' ) His book ' Living water ' is one i have never finished- so I started reading it again- I must be reading so many books right now ! His testimony is so inspiring, but so is his teaching

Do you ever get one of those days, the faster you pedal the further behind you seem to get!!!!!!!!! Yesterday the Chinese lady from up the road, came and asked if I could run her too a couple of appointments, so I said when, she said now, I followed with, were? she responded with, the N,E side of the city, we both live on the N,W side . So I said let me finish lunch then we'll go. five minutes later, knock, knock, who's there, Lo, Chinese lady to tell me that one appointment had to be before 12-30 and it was now 2, re-scheduled for today, I have a Gps but it only seems to work for restaurants. So off to the N,E, after going around in ever decreasing circles finally found the first place, not a coffee shop in sight, finally my neighbour comes out and says, the papers have to be signed with an ink fountain pen!!!!! These are legal documents for the sale of some land in Malaysia, the last ink pen I owned was a gold nibbed Stewart and something in 1953, 45 mins later and for 60 bucks a pen is made available, "at this point sanctification is solid", off to the next, this is the N,W. I say, do you know where it is, affirmative is her reply. Arrive at "destination" I look at address and say you need the 300 block not the 400!!!! and we are at the 400 "first hint that the sanctification has a bit of a wobble" but not daunted, press on to the 300 block and lo, there is the next notary, at this point I should have gone for lunch, (how wise I am after the event) I think a millennium passed, plus the last vestige on my sanctification, How the Scotch survived on a oatmeal breakfast I'll never know, that was what I'd had this morning. So, off I huff and finally track her down, she's all smiley, the notary had parcelled everything up, and, could we go to Fed Ex and post it. She picked up on the loss of sanctification and was full of apologies. She reminds me of the lady in the movie, that took us 90 mins to find out it wasn't a christian movie, " Waking Ned Divine" (it was the "divine" that fooled us) she's a bit like the one who went over the cliff in the phone box. BUT, then none of you saw the film

...Post # 2 Took Odd over the park this morning, and was walking in an area that has been totally snow covered but has since melted and is now accessible, it takes me passed a large pear tree, and I thought if Jesus was walking here, he would have stopped and told the parable of the pear tree. This tree is a mature tree and each year produces a lot of fruit, it is the last to drop it's fruit, last year I picked one and tried biting it, it was as hard as a brick and bitter, I mean very bitter. So I picked up some windfalls and took home with me, to ripen them, three weeks later, hard and bitter. Hear the parable of the pear tree, maturity does not always produce sweet fruit, if I let my heart hardened, the fruit will be bitter and the Lord wants us, better not bitter. That's why we are to guard our heart with all dilligence.

Dave, that was written with a great sense of humour, and in the same vein I will tell you that your pen was a 'Stewart and Patterson'....I know that because I use to have one and it wrote such nonsense that everyone thought I was drunk.

Thank you Dave, they are glad to be back. Yet Evangeline does not find things the same as she did in hospital and is still coming to terms with a new place and new smells . One thing for sure she can smell is good home cooking , Vessy said that in hospital she ate rubber with rubber on the side and for desert rubber. Since she had Josephine at the hospital they have gone from cooking in their own kitchens to bringing all food in from a central base.
Today for lunch I did Southern fried chicken for us big persons, tats, pea sand carrots, Chinese chicken legs, corn on the cob and rice for Josephine and straight forward chicken legs for Abigail also with rice and corn on the cob.
Grandma, Daniel and the girls have all gone off to "baby splash" this afternoon for a little fun and relaxation as a start to half term. James

Wow James, you are going to make someone a good wife someday,!!!! what a spread, we only use good Canadian chicken legs, none of those Chinese ones. But I did notice that our chicken legs are packaged in three's and six's, pondered as to thinking "they" might be using, the three legged one's now, G,M.O'd of course. Think I'll slide along to the local watering hole tomorrow, do miss those, preaching, praying, prophesying, blow your hair up type meetings, in the words of the old song " those "were" the days my friend" got to go, busy day today.
