Can we pray for Josephine my grand daughter. She is almost at the point of being chucked out of school because of her temper , she knows it is bad and can find no way to control it, she wants prayer and she wants to stay at school. Age 7. God help her and the teachers.

Yes, will do so. Hopefully age 7 is not too old to nip it in the bud. I pray that she can beat it. Do they have school councillors there who teach ‘anger management ‘? I hope so...she can’t do it alone.
Prayer is needed for Vangie too..who is learning from watching Josie. xxx I can’t sleep...so lots of time to pray.

I will pray too James. I know how worrying it can be.
I have always been worried about my now fourteen year old grandson. Right from a baby he didn't seem 'normal' like other babies. And as he grew he became more and more withdrawn and now they have discovered he has Asperger's.

Not sure you would agree Helen, but there you go always an up side to any situation. Do you remember Ray who always prayed in the middle of the night because he said the souls of men were asleep so it was more effectual.

Thanks James, he's called Alex and he is so lonely and withdrawn and it's so sad to see him like that.

Hi James, Is she able to explain why she is getting so angry ? So sorry for her as there obviously must be something going on inside that is frustrating her so much. Forgive me James as I forget who moved out with you , but if she made that transition then could it be a reaction to the move and adapting to a new school in a new country. How many English speaking children and adults are around her at school !?

Poppy, A diagnosis is a good place to be- it means there will be understanding for his world, a way in to be able to help him with more understanding. A friend of mine had no diagnosis for her son all through the infants school years. Most of us thought he was just being naughty - she had an awful time as she was convinced there was more to it. I think he was about 9years old when they finally realised he was on the autistic spectrum - it brought so much more understanding to why he reacted as he did. They were then able to put things in place that would help him, he is in his 20's now - such a lovely young man. He hasn't been able to overcome some of the issues, but he has achieved so much. Rita xx

She must feel so awful about that.

Has society 'spared the rod and spoiled the child?' I know it's not a popular flavour but neither has 'appeasement' seemed to have produced good fruit; but it has produced a lot of children Psychologists.

Things Pat were going well, but today Josephine had a strop in class this afternoon and it has resulted in her afternoon teacher saying she can no longer attend her class. They do not have anger management people to help her, the future looks a little bleak. We do not see the end of the story yet.

I've just ordered the Chimp Paradox his adult book due to the great reviews on his children's book..
Years ago I read Keith Code (Flick of the wrist) motorcycle riding book that helped to programme out the natural reactions caused by fear to a calculated response doing the opposite of what my whole being wanted to do - it worked and is lifetime lasting
If this book works in a similar way it may prove useful for Josephine

I got my Chimp Paradox book this morning and it's riveting .. my brain has a Human a Chimp and a Computer (not literally) and by what I've read guess which one often controls "my" thoughts?.. I do recommend it if you want to know yourself and why you act in certain ways
The children's book will be useful.. I will read that next
