I tried to put up David Ring singing "What a day that will be" on a Gaither video but a major malfunction at the junction.

A worrisome thing happened at dinner last night: Kevin placed overly hot food in his mouth and instead of the normal reflex to spit it out, he swallowed it and burned his throat, which is now quite sore. His speech is increasingly affected by the MS, but it now seems he may be losing the nerves that help him identify food temperature; he couldn't feel that the food was too hot, so he swallowed it. Of course, I'll need to be extra careful from now on to be sure his food has no hot spots, but my real concern is that this disease can eventually affect the tongue to the degree that swallowing becomes compromised, and choking on food becomes a problem. The problem may evolve into an inability to eat and drink.
There is no stopping this disease. I need a miracle.

Thank you so much, Tina, for your kindness and for the encouragement. The video was balm to my heart. Truly.♡ Just yesterday, it took all my persistence and strength to help my husband out onto the deck to enjoy the beautiful, sunny, perfect day (so rare in Nebraska!) He soon became quite emotional, as happens when he is removed from his almost unceasing internet activity, because it is then he has time to "think." And face the fear. But those moments are when I can best speak to Him of God's love, of Jesus, and of how ALL our security lies in Him alone. I can't change what is happening to his body (and, oh God, I love ALL of him), but maybe I can help him face the fear. When I am tired, when I become impatient, when I feel self-pity in this situation, I must remind myself that I must BE Jesus to him, for as Teresa of Avila said: *** "Christ has no body but yours, No hands, no feet on earth but yours, Yours are the eyes with which he looks Compassion on this world, Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good, Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, Yours are the eyes, you are his body. *** And, I know, despite all appearances, despite what the enemy of our souls would have me to think, that Jesus loves my gentle, kind, and steadfast husband.
