Day 9/Page 9 Painting based on an old print of Blakeney when it used to be a trading harbour (before the estuary became too silted up to take large ships).

Our trip around Norfolk these were the places we wanted to see because the ideal image we had formed through old paintings was of flat fen land and wheat fields the occasional windmill and quaint seaside villages devoid of people. We found the hussle and bustle of daily life and packed seaside towns... although the beer was tasty.... We now have Admans beer here in Yorkshire but it's nothing like the local stuff (it probably doesn't travel well)

I really like some of the real ales but I'm not keen on Adnam's. I like Wainwright's or Blond Witch by Moorhouse's and have just discovered a dark ale called Double Chocolate which is delicious. I've only been to Norfolk a couple of times and stayed at a caravan park called Pentney Park. We went to Norwich and Kings Lynn.

My taste buds are shot.. I drink double expressos eat hot curries and smoke a pipe so beers have to have something unique to hit home on my taste buds.

Day 15/ Page15 I'm thinking of changing the format for my marketing endeavour. I hope you guys don't mind being Guinea Pigs to test reaction. This is how they would look in a simple grey frame. Wadya reckon?

Day 16/Page 16 Or maybe with a tinted background (both pure white and pure black make the image stand out on a computer screen but seem rather harsh in a full size framed picture)

I like the white...and for sure I like the frame better than the black.

I think the backing should something that tones with the pale colours in the picture. But I prefer either of the ones you've posted to the black which is very stark.

I love the black frame, personally I do not like the three d effect of the picture standing out, I find I tend to focus on the shadow it casts rather then the picture. It would irritate me. I am seriously thinking about buying the one that I liked ( salt marshes ) but I need to get the dentist out of the way first as I do not know how much it will all cost x Rita

Rita, Poppy, and Helen, I'm very grateful for your views. I'm obviously going to get conflicting preferences so I'll soon start exhibiting with my own preference, but remain flexible and make changes once I've had several 'exhibition' feed-backs.
Rita, once I've worked through the collection via this thread then I'll send you your choice, FOC, in your preferred format (you'll see that 'Moonlit Saltmarshes' is also available in an extended 'Landscape' format).

Moomlit, is that a Norfolk word. I guess it is something to do the effect of salt on grazing cows who then Moo with the occasional mlit, which is a short Moo, thrown in.

Thanks for the 'heads-up' James, I'll rectumfy the typo before printing the image. It must have been the result of the "cow jumping over the Moon", causing my "little dog to laugh" which distracted me.
