thanks Mike i'd been there and looked right at it but my brain must have wandered to fluffy clouds staring aimlessly at it. I'd never make a rear gunner in WW2.. I simply day dream too much to see things....in front of me
As for reading instructions - that's only for when all else fails

I have only just found out that if one clicks on the setting wheel to the right of a persons post one may select "back to top" and save scrolling back up by mouse.

Question.. if the old forums come back what do we do? Stay here in our new camp or go home and lock this up like a summer house until the season requires it?

Question.. if the old forums come back what do we do? Stay here in our new camp or go home and lock this up like a summer house until the season requires it? I am only just getting to grips with it...but still can't find threads I want to go back to, as I forget what they are called..so I have to click on every board to see what is there..or, I have to scroll through all the posts in the "post thingy" to find it.
But, Maybe God is saying something to us..like, "hey you guys, just don't get too comfortable anywhere...travel light...this is not your home and it could all be gone in a moment."
I hate to say it Ivor...but Israel had 42 encampments in the wilderness...I've now stopped counting. But I bet Mike knows just how many "encampments" we have had since most of us were at Trevor's UKCW days. We have a few more yet to go to catch up with Israel, before our "Promised Land"!!

If we "locked this up like a summer house" then we would be split between two sites once again.....hang on, no we wouldn't because, after all the efforts of sorting this out, I would call it a day and 'hang up my leathers' (is that a boxing or a motor cycling analogy?)

Mike your Martha nature is a true credit to you for your concern for our welfare and your hospitality is simply wonderful. When forced to live in a temporary tent you began building us a house (the busy worker ant that you are) Please don't let stubbornness have you take your eye off what God is himself is building... being more like Mary sitting at the Lords feet is difficult for "doers" which may feel like fishing for me (fishing is a total waste of time as a relaxant as it frustrates me more than it relaxes me) Others just soak it up though.
Ive sent Karim a message to this site
So then - what do we do now?

There is no such thing as theocratic democracy (never has been) so we have a problem to resolve, - where do we set our table up for consuming our tasty morsels?.... and for all the much due credit we give to both James and Mike I don't think either of them should decide.
My personal opinion is that Amadeus makes the sole decision (sorry friend to put you on the spot). We all of us too easily shoot from the hip where you don't appear to, you have a more considered measured approach and you are always kind and gentle with delivering your reply. If we decide to take a vote then please accept that I will happily abstain from voting as there's a wind of change in the air and I feel we should have it move us where we need to be moved.

I can see what you are saying...but I for one would not wish to go back to two forums again...I believe God stuck Mike and James in this together. We have long needed a merge have we not? Now if we all heard clearly from THE LORD, we would all come up with the very same word about what we should do now. ( After I spent all afternoon writing to older members and inviting them here!! )
I can hear what you are saying Ivor, so you don't feel that we can all chip in with what we feel is best for everyone and come up with a clear leading from the Lord? I feel that everyone should be happy with the conclusion. Whatever we do must be the Lord, as any of the sites can "go down" at any time!!! We could go back there, and it could be gone again in a week haha!!
This is a bit like Alice in Wonderland isn't it? We now have THREE sites between us!! Good grief!! LOL Lets start a few more, then everyone can each have one!!

Sorry I did not read this thread before I posted a seperate one about the old forums - as I said in that thread, I would prefer to stay as one, rather than try and keep up with two !
I must admit that I am use to this forum format as we use it for the divorce recovery ministry, although there are slight differences I kind of know my way around.
Have a lovely day everyone xx

I'm reminded of the time when I introduced the personal blogs on www.stayingintouch.uk. Briefly the thought had passed through my mind "what would it be like to have a forum which was divided into multiple boards, with each one dedicated to one of the members?". That would be very similar to us each having our own forum.

Democracy always makes 2-3 opposing parties Agree..but you probably wont see this until after Wednesday, when you get home from York. Have a lovely time. I have a feeling that it will just be 'made plain' to us where we should post. My 'heart' is just with the people themselves, where the people are, there will I be also!! haha!! I wont be hopping from site to site ,( if the site ALL stay active.) I will follow the crowd as it were, and I'll be there.
So, who knows what you will find when you get back!! Take care....H

So it appears we already have an argument over who among us is the best to preside over the formation of an "all in together website". I note the cry has gone up "I will only have this man to rule over me".
I guess that might be called shooting from the hip.
If this turns into a scuffle I shall not be seen for dust, who needs more strife and fights, have enough of that from the world.
I suspect the best thing is for the members to vote themselves a leader, wow did that ever work out upon the death of Gideon!

I find that somewhat over reactive James! I believe Ivor was just "speaking his heart". I saw no arguments, just discussions! I didn't agree with him about putting it all on Amadeus..not that John would have done it anyway. And I am sure Ivor left me free to disagree with him. He and I often have fun disagreeing. Yet we more AGREE on things than we disagree. And now I can disagree with you....The LAST thing we need is " Voting for a leader." Maybe that was meant as a joke, but it lacked the smily's.
As I said already...I myself will wait and see, and follow the crowd! " where they are, I will be." Haha!!
Blessings...H

Here's an update.
Earlier there was talk about who should take the leading role, to which Helen said God has united our various forums by uniting James and me into this one, and we should follow what God has prompted. And on the question of accepting what God has done it should be remembered that it was James who took the lead and did the initial setting up of this site, even though he simultaneously invited me in to help, for which I was, and still am, grateful. But there are a few software settings to which only James has access, and if it is thought that I can help with those, James arranges for me to be able to temporarily use his 'Admin' Account. Well, James and me are getting along OK together and members should know that James is both emailing and phoning me to discuss any possible new developments. Is that not indication enough that this is where God wants us all to unite and mainly meet together?..... I think it is. However James' Living Water site remains open for those who can't get used to this new forum format.
Peace be with us all.....Mike
