Today Mrs Alexander junior has been in a stinking mood. No one knows why not even her because she says “nothing is the matter”, but then we are talking of a woman. Josephine has been in excellent spirits while trying to learn the books of the bible, her dad having come up with a learn some spiritual things to gain phone and watching time. Tea time chicken soup was on offer, this did mean that there was a slight thaw in Vessy. Tomorrow we shall gather for a church time, nothing like a good praise to lift the spirits. May the Lord bless one and all.

A while since I was here, and as tother site has lost it’s something I once more thought I might return to my post of thoughts.
Currently I am wondering if I fit in, should I fit in? What do I mean by fit in? I say I desire to follow God and if I am going to follow the one who is love I must be love, surely. Dare I say that I believe that God is here with me, for if that’s what I say I believe then why do I act as if he is not here? Why do I give vent to the souls emotions, self pity, anger, irritation, envy and pride, why is the belief in his presence not real enough to change my mind and my actions. Why do I have faith that speaks one thing and actions that say something else.
Are my double standards the root of powerlessness, ineffectiveness. Is this a lesson we must all learn, to live in the sight of God and express the victory of Jesus. Maybe if that was how I chose to live I might then be some help to those around me.

Faith without works is dead, I read this in James, and why is it dead? James says it because faith is alone, just like Adam who although made by God and in the image of God was not in a GOOD situation of Life the problem being “he was alone”. Gen2:18.
Rom3:31 It concludes “ yea, we establish the law”. Jesus said he came not to destroy the law or the prophets but to fulfil. We may conclude then that faith is given to every man that he may carry out the fulfilment of such law as he is aware of, that being his relationship to this world of men. The Lord making man aware of his obligation to man and to his God, gives faith that man be empowered to perform actions not by works and obligations to law but by consent to the righteous obligation of faith. Such faith that works by love! Gal5:6
Has man such faith as to so rest in righteousness that he is enabled to perform those greater works spoken of by Jesus John14:12. Might it be that greater means in number by reason of the spread of ‘good news’ bringing more men of faith into the kingdom. It could be in reference to the rise of evil and worldliness, requiring dramatic and powerful works such as in the time of Elijah, confounding the populous and destroying the works of the devil. No matter what we are assured that without faith nothing is possible.
Faith in the creator is vital for righteousness to be imputed through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Like Abram having followed the voice of God and acted out obedience we stand in the light and receive the scrutiny of God in awe and fear, for our God is a consuming fire.
