I listened to this but to tired tonight, give my thoughts tomorrow, . Tomorrow has given way too today and creates another tomorrow. Revival Hymn. 'for myself' I found little of the HIM of revival, but a lot of why we are the reason of no revival, as one who is hoping for the 'full' harvest but wouldn't mind a bit of 'Vival' myself but for every revival that's happened and the reasons for it, men have tried to duplicate them with only disappointment it seems, so one draws a conclusion that it's a sovereign happening or I do. Hellfire preaching has never been my thing, and that God sends them there, , God never planted two trees so he could send the Adams there, maybe I missed the point of the 'hymn' in the first part, what I term my second bit, it had a definite ring of 60-70's preaching. Those who made up the dvd with their contributions, some of the voices I recognised and were men used of God in their time. But my but is, who will the Lord use in this generation and or will I be found in a Lots wife mode!!!!!! But thanks for the listen Rob.

It was not the hellfire or the revival that caught my attention. What I liked was the chap who laid out the humanistic preaching, that one could easily slip into thinking salvation was all about making man happy, Africa was a long way to go to find out that everything is for the Glory of God.

Dave, you mentioned that you recognized many of the voices on the video, have you any idea who it was who went to Africa?

Rob , I said I recognised some, not many!!!! But on reflection, I recognised the different accounts but the African Miss'y I didn't know, the one voice I did know was Lenard Ravenhill, and maybe Charles Price was in there, I conferred with H and she said some of it sounded 60-70s Jack Coe style. The salient point of christian humanism has definite value in the church of today and maybe has rubbed off as to the Lord answering or me not getting the right result for my prayer; "Jesus was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, am I like hiding (christian humanism)to escape the despised and rejected bit!!!!! I actually got a better perspective the second time of listening .
