Did Vessy go or stay, H got something from J that needs the gift of interpretation, old N if he's not eating or drinking has certainly defied the survival estimates. Any updates??

Vessy returned today, three very happy girls after 10 days without mum. Nikoli does not move in bed and as you know has sores, on a good day he will eat a bit but on the bad days only takes three spoonfuls of water. He has no control over is body and maybe does not want to cause to much work for Rossi by being wet all the time.
When Vessy left and said goodbye to her dad , she parted with "see you next time" and his reply was "I hope not". Poor chap has had enough and is wanting to check out of the apartment and move on to a mansion. Bless them Lord.

Daniel will drive Vessy to Varna leaving at 3 am The funeral of Nikoli is around 2.30 tomorrow afternoon. They had news of his death today as they drove the children home this afternoon from an eye clinic in Sofia.
He and Rossi will now have some peace at long last.

Glad he got his wish; so when did he die, they certainly don't hang around there, is it a cremation service? Did Vessy take it 'well' as it was expected, were they close? Liked you said Rossi will have some peace and have to adjust to the single life. How long will V&D be staying at Varna?

Just had a call from Daniel which aloud me to pose your question, he now being the horses mouth. Vessy had a text five minutes before he called me to say Nikoli was dead. By which I calculate the time of death around 3.30-4. They do not wait the traditional three days as they do in England, if there is a reason for such a hurried internment I have yet to be appraised of it. Conditions were not good as it had rained all morning and there were no boards around the grave. Daniel slipped and slid holding the arm of Rosie as she attempted to throw dirt onto the coffin. He said that there were another four parking places prepared awaiting occupants.
He told me they hope to return Tuesday/Wednesday. Vessy took it better than her brother, she is happy that Nikoli had accepted the Lord and this was a comfort to her, a comfort her brother did not know.

Thanks for the 'before they call' update, I'm glad that D and Rossi never fell, I must 'fess when I read it, a Monty Python scenario's came to the fore. I did wonder why no duck boards were not made available for the rainy day internments!!!! one just hopes I suppose that the sun is out for the popping in ceremony, if one is thinking of the attendee's . Will Rossi come back for a few days with you and see the grand kids?

There has been nothing said about her returning with Vessy, and I doubt she will, knowing the confused thinking of a woman. I am sure she will take refuge in” oh no, there is far to much to do”. Missing the point that the ‘ to doing ‘ can wait a month if need be. Rosie is also rather reliant on the Dobbridge health system and thinks if she was elsewhere she might not receive speedy treatment if needed.

Hi James, I just read on another thread that Nikoli passed away, so sorry. Always a mixture of emotions when someone is suffering and merely exiting from day to day. I am actually beginning to wonder if I am getting too clinical with end of life now, I use to get so upset when residents passed away, now it doesn’t hit the emotions in quite the same way. All I see is them suffering and death often being so drawn out. I am pleased that he was nearer the family though, that is the part that is sad with Covid, so many family connections missed. Rita xx
