If only our Lord would cause those in need to realise that until we see him face to face and finally know even as we are know we cannot see other than through a glass darkly, then I would gladly place myself at the head of the queue needing correction.

Why have you put 'those in need' in bold type and underlined it?

I read--we cannot see other than through a glass darkly, Quote
I do not see this as truth, oh but you must cos the bible says so. In another place it tells of David who got all bent out of shape because the evil man was getting on real well and those who did not follow God had the best of everything. The good book then goes on to say that when David entered into the sanctuary he had it revealed to him that the Lord had set the evil man in slippery places and that just because a sentence is not carried out swiftly it does not mean that those who ignore God will have a fruitful end.
My point is we see through a dark glass when we fail to enter into the secret place where the Lord dwells, if we did and then lived there we would be without excuse and would have the ear of the Lord and know a lot more than Mr Average Christian. Not because of anything we had done to earn favour with God but because the LORD JESUS (I believe) is still looking for those he can call "friends" and as such his desire is to have deep fellowship with them. God way back before the Holy Spirit was given said that he could not "hide" anything from his friend Abraham. I change not says the Lord, I like to believe him!!
Made the last half bigger...it was too small to read....H x

James that small typeface at the end which often occurs is when you add an after-thought. It can be stopped by making it a habit when you are ready to submit the post,
firstly take a moment to click the cursor anywhere in the text and then hold Ctrl (bottom left corner button) and press "A" once (which not only highlights the already written text but also "A" means all typeface that is ever put on that page will be the same) and then choose a text size 4 and colour blue for you.
Returning to add a thought at any time afterwards and everything will be matching because you have set the whole page not just the gathered bit that your cursor grabs.

Ivor you are a world of wisdom, I don't think I added an afterthought but I will take your advice because Helen says it happens a lot.

It looks as if I was rejoicing to soon over being able to deal with my shrinking text.
Did I mention I use a Mac, I hit control and A and nothing happens, The best I can do is put the curser on the text drag to the end to highlight and then do font and colour. Thanks anyway Ivor!!

Right now is the start of a new era for me. Chris finds it increasingly difficult to get in and out of the bath so I'm now planning for a new bath plus a battery operated belt hoist (in and out). Then I have to modify things in my garage to suit the new car when it arrives this evening (that involves re-stacking my logs ready for the next heating season). Then I will be playing with the new car for quite a while. So I will no longer need SiT2 to keep me preoccupied. Bye for now (BFN).

Good luck with all the projects Mike; there's a company here that will retro fit your bath tub so you can just walk in and bathe. And another one that has a seat to ride up and down the stairs; how they like the geriatric crowd Doesn't that "car" fold up so you can stack it against the wall . Take care of yourself.

Dont get a belt lift if she has dizzy spells or any kind of vertigo - it brings it on. Yvonnes mum always had a dread of falling backwards and refused to use it

So Mike I would think you have the logs staked now. Hope the garage did not need a complete refit for the new car to fit in. How goes the hydrotherapy, all cushtie now?

Tomorrow we leave for a holiday on our favourite Greek Island of Symi. On Symi our favoured regular 'watering hole' is Marina Bay. Too steep a walk over a mountain ridge for our poor old legs so we have to go around the island by 'water Taxi' to get there. Last time we were there I was lying on my waterside sunbed and 'doing my best?' not to look at the beautiful girls skinny dipping barely an arms length away or sunbathing on adjacent sunbeds (it's what Marina Bay is famous for). This year I've grown a beard in the hope that I won't get recognised and locked away for again 'doing my best?' not to look (Matthew 5:28).

This is the sight that will greet us as we arrive by ferry late in the evening.

How wonderful Mike. You are a 'better man than I' ...I am no longer up for long trips any more. ...and I think I can give you 9 years...? So you have done well.
I hope you have a lovely time...I am sure that you will.
Is your travel insurance reasonable there? Our here is a killer and very high. Dave is on no meds, so his is reasonable ...but mine is sky high as you can guess. Bless you....H

Bless you....H Not at all comfortable about the wisdom of holidays abroad at 83 but it was Christine's decision. 31 degrees is too hot for me and I hate being stuck for so long in the restricted seating of the flight. Nor do I enjoy all the packing and remembering all the detail requirements (managed to get all that I can think of into 6kg hand luggage). Travel insurance was £43 for the single trip. In February Christine has arranged for us to go back to Marbella (where we lived for 10 years) but it won't be so hot in February. I expect travel insurance will be much the same as for Symi.

Well I hope that it is a good time. I like my own bed and my own bathroom!! I don't mind car travel down to USA it only takes 9 'comfortable' hours with tea stops along the way. My flying days are over ...too many health issues now to risk it. You are brave at 83. I am a wimp.

I have never been in a plane and only got a passport a few years ago when we were supposed to be taken to France by my son. If we had gone it would have been by ferry.
