I've done a lot of 'offloading' since I woke up a couple of hours or so ago. Now I feel a whole lot better for it and reckon that I shall now go back to the sleep of 'satisfaction'.

I'm having a dreadful night due to a raging irritation on my right ankle that is turning into a spreading infection. Right when nobody is posting and I need something to respond to so that I can be distracted from the itch. Sod's Law is taking its vengeance.

Sorry to hear about your ankle Mike. What's wrong with it? It sounds like the same as I had on mine a few years ago. It start off as nothing but a very tiny red patch which was very itchy and which I thought was caused by a bite from a flea off Gareth's cat which we were minding at the time. I tried a range of shop bought remedies but it got so painful that I ended up having to have antibiotic cream rub on and capsules to take. I still feel a twinge every now and again all these years later.

Tiniest of red spots which itches so much I just have to scratch it, and that makes it worse and spreads it till its unbearable. I've had it before and it covered my entire shin before reaching its peak and eventually subsiding under medical prescription.

All this burning the midnight oil, just how do you do it. The one thing I can not do when I wake in the night is to stare at a computer screen.

I'll do anything to keep my attention away from a raging itch.

Mike they told me it was an ulcer - I think on the vein. But I get these pin-prick red itchies all over the place, including on my fingers, from time to time. I reckon it's the Russians.

My old mum aways said it was bad weather because of the Russians and them letting of "the bomb", therefore you could be right, the Russians get my vote every time.

My old grandmother used to reckon she couldn't understand about all these "submarians and toppydoes" which people kept talking about. The only explosions she understood were in the 'thunder box' at the end of the garden, and which was emptied weekly along the celery trench so that we always had fresh salad.

Missed all this, must have been asleep. To itch or to scratch seems to be the question? isn't it a wonderful sight to see body ministry at it's best; a full diagnosis from Pat; Helen's peroxide patented treatment; an amazing insight all the way from Bulgaria on Russian intervention; then Mikes capstone at the end which has "cured" me of celery. .

Wonderful indeed Dave, each and every one has dived into to minister to Mikes need. Great honour being bestowed upon the week member, in this case Mike of the uncontrollable itch. So far from the Mike bashing that he expressed the other day, one feels the ooze of love reaching out to the east coast of the UK.

😁 Fun posts. I like James reference to 'love and caring' that we each have for one another. When someone is 'hurting' or should I say itching....all rush to help that member haha! Probably just to share our wisdom of what worked for us. Must agree about the celery , it was slightly off putting!! LOL But that is what the Chinese do in their village compounds. No persons 'waste' is wasted...it all goes toward the crops. Boy, I'm glad it is not lunch time yet!! ..

Boy, I'm glad it is not lunch time yet!! .. It's what the scientists call perpetual 'motion'. In the animal world you can't stop certain breeds of dogs from eating pooo. Some birds feed their young on regurgitation Some explorers drink pee. And we eat some funny old excrement when we eat the innards of some sea foods.

Now is the circle of life the same as perpetual motion? Call me old fashioned but I still pray and give thanks over my food!!!!!! you know the, eat ANY deadly -------- bit. Helen upbraided me on my writing of posts with very little punctuation, new chapters and every thing else that is non- grammatical. Starting a new ----- My explanation is, when I speak it's one beautiful, witty monologue of pearls. I don't speak and say; I am now starting a new chapter; I'm just able to see a little out of one eye . Starting a new------------ Mike, I heard that it was only the alcoholic explorers who drank pee.
