I hesitate to make further pronouncements; navigation of this set-up proving to be so enigmatic. But I'm now wondering if I've made another 'discovery'. Up till now I've found that if I activate 'Quote' and then delete parts, leaving only the one part to which I want to reply then, when i click 'Create Post' after I have added my reply, I find the quote part has emptied itself of everything. But now I think I've found that, if I leave the entire quote without deleting parts, make my reply, and click 'Create Post', then I can go back to my post, click 'Edit', make the deletions to parts of what was 'quoted', then click 'Save Changes', and then I've got what I wanted without the entire 'quote' disappearing.

I am just playing here. Trying deleting half of it. EDIT- Well that worked! I have already found for me, that if I highlight what I want to delete, and click "delete" yes, I do lose it. I then go back to what I wanted to quote from a person , copy and paste. Then it works okay. BUT, with the above first line I wrote..what I had done with your quote was to delete the top half by the long way of deleting..( NOT highlight it) but just putting my curser at the END of what I want to delete...the delete it by holding my finger on the delete button until it has all gone. I have been doing that for a couple of days now.
The thing is..DID whoever designed and set up this type of website ever USE the thing? Every thing seems to need doing a long way around to accommodate "this kind" of set up!! Much like men who design a lovely looking kitchen, but they don't have to work in it..looks nice, but actually working in it is very klutzy. This doesn't feel-like it has been used much by many..unless the designer just likes difficult things! Some men do...I bet a woman didn't design this. LOL
